STEP 1:Open the Kemulator on to your
PC and run it, since the default
screen size is 240 x 320, it may
appear small on your screen.
Dont worry about that because we
will change it.
STEP 2:
Now let's change the screen size
of the kemulator to make
browsing a bit convenient.
Click on View on the Menu bar
and select Options...
A Dialogue box should appear
with Custom tab selected
Device Select: the type of device
you select will determine the
kemulator handle java
files (operamini). For me, i use
SonyEricssonk800, since it's the
phone i use.
At Custom Properties, change the
Screen Width to 800 and Screen
Height to 600.
Optional:
(Do not click on OK.
We will now change the network
settings.
Click on the last tab [>> 2] and
select Network
Eg:
Use these settings:
ProxyType HTTP Proxy
Host: 196.201.34.173
Port: 8080
Ignore Username, Password
and Domain. Click on Connect
then OK
Cick on OK again to save.
Restart kemulator by using Alt +
R (keyboard shortcut) or select
Midlet on the Menu bar and
click on Restart. You can use the
Esc key to exit it and launch to
application again. Either method
will do.)
STEP 3:
Let us now launch the opera mini
file in the emulator.
Click on Midlet on the Menu bar,
select Load jar...
select the opera mini file from
your computer where you have
save it.
Upon selecting the opera file
(jar), the application will vanish
from the screen for some
seconds, it will reopen with the
opera file loaded. Don't be
alarmed by this cos' it's normal.
Use this settings for the opera
mini handler. As per your operator trick. Eg: Airtel, Reliance, Docomo, etc
STEP 4:
After this, click on menu on the
lower right corner of the
emulator then select OK (Mini 5)
or OK (mini 4.2). Opera mini mill
now install on the system. After
installation, you are through to
surf free.
