The HTC Flyer is a 7” tablet running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the latest version of HTC’s popular Sense UI. Despite running the phone version of Android the performance is snappy and even apps designed for smaller phone screens still scale pretty good. IT has a 1.5 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM so it can handle all of your web browsing needs (including Flash) with relative ease. Best of all it features a special technology called HTC Scribe that gives you a pressure sensitive stylus perfect for signing documents or taking notes in class.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is everything a great Android tablet should be. It runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb the tablet version of the popular Android platform and has a dual core processor and 1 GB of ram. Performance on this thing is just great, it handles HD video playback easily and the super PLS display looks amazing. Best of all it’s the slimmest and lightest tablet on the market so far.
The Apple IPad 2 3G is far and away the most popular tablet on this list and love it or hate you can’t deny that’s it’s certainly a compelling option for anyone thinking of buying a tablet. It runs the latest version of Apple’s IOS and despite a few issues like a lack of flash support it incredibly snappy and the least buggy tablet available. The other big advantage the IPad 2 has is apps. There are currently over 100k tablet specific apps available for download and no other tablet OS can come anywhere near that number.
